Q1: What was the best thing about this course?

*The best thing about this course was that it was taught slowly enough so that we were able to completely understand the concept.

*The pace of the class was good, it wasn’t too rushed.

*the interactive labs that we had to do. They were in our textbook and we had to complete them and turn them into our instructor. The labs really helped us familiarize ourselves with the program.

*It teaches a lot about computer.

*it helps to make the student more efficient at using a pc and its programs.

*The teacher.

*I liked how the lectures were on power point and projected onto the screen from the computer. It made a neat and orderly presentation.

*it starts with the basics about computers. So someone who doesn’t know that much can really get a start for what computers are all about.

* He was funny.

*The homework really helped in comprehending some of the material, the other was explained by the instructor.

*Opportunity to practice useful Microsoft office applications like excels.

*Straightforward teaching according to book.

*I learned how to operate my computer more efficiently.

*The info I was learning about was stuff I could use everyday.

*I learned Excel.

*Practice testing through the Internet. Hands on computer learning in lab.

*It helped me out since I use computer a lot.

*He is nice and cool. I like him.

*The book is very helpful with studying.

*Good teacher, Info hard, Book bad, test too hard.

*the ability to master common application software that I will continue to use throughout my life. I was able to learn some new skills on the topics we covered.

*the information given in this course was very helpful. All that was taught can be used in other class.

Q2: What suggestion do you have that would improve this course?

*Be more often to the computer lab, break up the tests more so that there is not so much material to remember.

*a little more interaction with computers(i.e., more time in the computer lab)

*Give out study guide for the test to help pinpoint what is going to be on the test  or except of test question.

*Being based on a graphical user interface, this class clashes with the way you learn to use the computer. It is hard to take a written test on computer programs that are primarily vision oriented.

*Not make attendance mandatory and maybe give us a study sheet before the test.

*Some kind of film, computer.

*The content might have to change a little. This is my 3rd year in college and this class was required for my major. I was a little shocked to see our first lab assignment was to learn how to use the mouse and keyboard. I don’t think a course such as this one should be required for major  outside of business and computers. I felt it was a waste and could be taking more important classes. I grew up with computers, I know how to use them.

*This course needs more hands on, instead of lecture from the book..

*Not repeating so much material. Not repeating yourself Dr. Aminilari.

*Possibly a TA to help organize

*There should be more emphasis on homework. Maybe even should have days in lab.

*get students more motivated maybe through group work and presentations.

*Have more tests with less content rather than having a few tests with large contents. Have computers in classroom to make the course more “hands on”.

*It’s better to put stress much on the attendance of the class.

*I think that we should go to computer lab and do the chapter exercise during class. Hands-on experience in the classroom helps.

*Make tests easier, it’s supposed to be a beginning computer class.

*I suggest that the tests be given over the Internet in order to fully incorporate the knowledge that we have learned. After all the computer is our tool of use for this entire class.

*We need more group hands on computer work. We learn better together rather than alone

* I really appreciate the professor openness to the students.  You are a great person.  Thank you.

* Nothing

* Aminilari was a good teacher.

* The teacher was very up to date.  We weren’t learning stuff from years ago.

* TEACHER

* Finally Learning the most popular software package on the market.  It will be very useful for my future.

*

Q2: What suggestion do you have that would improve this course?

* Have computers in class.

* Don’t have a PowerPoint of the book summary.  It didn’t teach me anything.  Basically a waste of time.

* GOOD CLASS ALL TOGETHER.

* Include labs with the class.  In this way, we can follow the instructor better while he is presenting the material.
